The Zuri International School

About us

The Zuri International School was a dream of two mothers; who looked around and realized that the type of education that they wanted for their children was simply not there. Nimmo Elmi and Wambui Kabage who are a social anthropologist and a lawyer respectively have studied in Africa, Europe, North America and Australia; which gave them a unique global perspective on the expectations of global citizens. They wanted their children to have an education that would make them global citizens who are grounded and able to be at home anywhere in the world, equipped with an education that was academically rigorous, rivalling global standards; where their children would be proficient in the rapidly changing world of technology but where their children would also be grounded in their Muslim Identity imbued with core values and principles found in the Quran and and the Teachings (Sunnah) of the Prophet Muhammed (peace and blessings be upon him). They desire to have children that are of noble character that aspire to be moral leaders.
